How dpdpcourse.in handles your personal data
This notice explains what we collect when you create an account, why, and how to use your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Version 2026-10-17.
Who we are
dpdpcourse.in is run by Dpofficer.in and is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this site.
What we collect
- From the sign-in option you choose (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook or Microsoft): your name, email address, profile photo and an account identifier.
- Details you add yourself: phone number and organisation. Both are optional.
- Your learning record: the courses you join or apply for, and the lessons you complete.
- Security records: when you signed in and the browser you used.
Browsing the course catalogue doesn’t need an account, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We use one cookie to keep you signed in.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To give you access to course lessons and keep track of your progress.
- To contact you about courses you’ve joined or applied for.
- To send news about new courses, only if you agreed to that separately.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare hosts this site and its database and may process data in data centres outside India. Your sign-in provider confirms your identity. We don’t sell personal data or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, sign-in methods, enrolments and progress are deleted at once. Database backups are kept for up to 30 days, after which deleted data is gone from them too.
Your rights
- Access: download a copy of your data from your account page.
- Correction: update your name, phone number and organisation from your account page.
- Erasure and withdrawing consent: delete your account from your account page at any time. You can also stop course news there.
- Nomination: you can name someone to use these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated. Contact us to do this.
- Grievances: contact the contact details on our home page. If we don’t resolve your grievance, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. We don’t knowingly create accounts for children.
